To appreciate the standardized locations for facial ultrasound in the perioral region
Learners will appreciate the standardized locations for facial ultrasound in the perioral region, and how it is crucial to identify specific facial landmarks and reference lines that guide the placement of the ultrasound transducer. They will appreciate how such landmarks ensure a systematic examination of all relevant anatomical structures, enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of ultrasonographic assessments in the perioral region.
To recognize the key anatomical structures within each zone of the perioral region
Learners will appreciate what structures can be identified in each perioral standardized zone, and what these structures look like under ultrasound.
To understand the recommended ultrasound images to be aquired in each zone of the nasal region
Students will have a working knowledge of what ultrasound views are best obtained in each standardized perioral zone, and how these views can best display key anatomical features.
