Learners will understand the anatomy of the upper midface region and how to interpret it under facial ultrasound images. They will aprreciate how this knowledge aids in identifying key structures which are pivotal in procedures.
To appreciate the standardized locations for facial ultrasound in the upper midface region
Learners will appreciate the standardized locations for facial ultrasound in the upper midface region, and how it is crucial to identify specific facial landmarks and reference lines that guide the placement of the ultrasound transducer. They will appreciate how such landmarks ensure a systematic examination of all relevant anatomical structures, enhancing the accuracy and efficency of ultrasonographic assessments in the midface region.
To recognize the key anatomical structures within each zone of the upper midface region
Learners will appreciate what structures can be identifued in each upper midface standardized zone, and what these structures look like under ultrasound.
To understand the recommended ultrasound images to be aquired in each zone of the upper midface region
Students will have a working knowledge of what ultrasound views are best obtained in each standardized upper midface zone, and how these views can best display key anatomical features.
